Answer: Please follow these guidelines to thoroughly uninstall “XF” from your system:

• Right click on its tray in Taskbar, run Exit item in it

• To completely uninstall "XF", you need to remove the Xfire (remove only) item (Size, 24.13MB), and then the XfireXO Toolbar item (Size, 4.82 MB)







Note: You could pick the No option in Xfire Uninstall, asking you "Do you want to delete the file archive directory (C:\Program Files\Xfire\download\archive) and any files it contains?". You could remove those files later.

Note: When you would have met this "Error connecting to Xfire server" info box, please check and then fix any errors in your Internet connection.

Note: While you were trying to play your game, e.a., the Half-Life 2, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Alliance of Valiant Arms, and more, you may also have met that Error box, telling "Unable to find the following files (the installation directory for your game that you were trying to run) for game League of Legends. Please double check the path, and try again.". You can then re-add that game install in your system (click Not Installed > scroll down; or then you click into the Automatically Detect option for EXAMPLE GAME (1602 A.D.) section, choose Manual Detect option for it > click Browse button to find out the game > Found it? Click Open option in Find an executable used to launch the game. window); then try to repair the problematic game software/application you install, or you need to completely remove that problematic game, reinstall it, run your Xfire to detect it again. Note: When you were trying to upgrade your "XF" program, you may also have get that "Error downloading update file over HTTP: Can’t create file. Note: To fix Xfire Exception error, you can click Upload option in it to send the feedback for that (problematic) game; then you try to repair it > run your game without Xfire > completely remove that game.

Note: Your Xfire may have been blocked by Windows Vista/7, telling you "Error – Xfire requires UAC elevation to run the game.". To run your "XF" properly, you can temporarily disable Windows UAC when you are going to play your game via launching Xfire: Click Start > enter Control Panel > In the User Accounts item, you click Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off link. And for Windows 7 users to solve that Xfire error, you can then firstly move that slider to the Default or the Never notify value, click OK, reboot your Windows, then run your "XF" again.

Note: You may have been annoyed by the "XF" System malfunction error. Please review hardware malfunction error fixers here: 1) Save your work; reboot your computer to restore RAM. Not solved? You need to check , then remove the invalid/problematic RAM module(s) in your computer case; then run your Xfire. 2) Reseat your adapters; remove those extra ones; reboot your system, run your Xfire again. 3) Reset your BIOS to factory values; update it then.

Note: When you were trying to play your video games install, you would have seen the missing avatar in your account. You can first save and then quit "XF", log in your game account again; or your run the game without launching "XF". Moreover, restart your router device, check your Internet connection.

Note: While you were trying to run your "XF", you may read this Parse Error, telling Parse Error. Message ID = 141".It can some bugs in the PHP Server, please wait and retry it again.

Note: You may have also met this NSIS Error while you were trying to have some game installed in your system, informing you "The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus. You may want ro contract the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED).". Then please retry that installation package you downloaded; reboot your system, run it again; update your antivirus software, load your system in Safe Mode, the run a virus scan; check your Internet connection again then, download, scan that installer file, run it again.

Note: You may just couldn’t update your "XF" version then. You then click Cancel option for that Xfire Automatic Update box > check your "XF" accounts > review tips on how to fix Internet connection errors I’ve reviewed above > right click on "XF" tray, scroll up, enter Status item, go on click Reset Status link in it > completely uninstall current version of "XF", then apply a new reinstallation of it.
