Can’t remove/uninstall Xfire Toolbar/stream in Chrome

How can I uninstall Xfire (toolbar) from my Win8?

  1. I exit my Xfire/STEAM account: I find the X icon in "Show hidden icons" area, right click that file and launch "Exit Xfire" option on the menu.

  3. Then I will first use the basic method to remove the two programs from my computer system:
  4. 1). I open up Control Panel and press the Uninstall a program in it.
    2). I will first uninstall Xfire 2.0 automatically: highlight the application (size, 58.4 MB) and press Enter on my keyboard.

    • Choose Yes from the Xfire Uninstall below, "Are you sure you want to completely remove Xfire and all of its components?".

  5. Afterwards, I close Uninstall or changes a program window and Task Manager; and then reboot my Win8 computer. Then I run my web browsers, check the "Home page", "Search Engine Provider" in them to ensure I’ve entirely remove the associated AVG items. Moreover, I start the manual search and deletion of traces related to the uninstalled Xfire N AVG.

How Can I completely Uninstall Xfire from My XP System?

Answer: Please follow these steps below to thoroughly uninstall Xfire from your system:

  • Note: You apply the No option to Xfire Uninstall so that you can cleanly uninstall Xfire, "Do you want to delete the file archive directory (C:\Program Files\Xfire\download\archive) and any files it contains?".

    Note: To completely uninstall Xfire, you click Change/Remove behind the XfireXO Toolbar, then click Yes in Toolbar Uninstall, "Are you sure you want to uninstall XfireXO Community Toolbar?".

  • Save your own files, reboot your system.
