  1. Logged to the PC by using an administrator account, I save first every file and/or application I’m using.
  2. For the running Babylon program, I click on the Close button on the following How to use Babylon.
  3. To safely erase Babylon 10, then I click the Menu and then choose the listed Exit option; or you can also directly click the Close button on right upper of your Babylon program. I run Task Manager and I manually terminate the running Babylon Information Tool.
  4. I Open up Control Panel, enter Uninstall a program (under Programs), (For XP friends, ya enter Add/Remove Programs).
  5. Then I locate the following Babylon item in the list of Uninstall or change a program (Currently installed programs). And then I launch the Uninstall option to automatically get rid of Babylon 10.
  6. Then I see the following babylon® window displays, I choose the "Uninstall. blah blah" to start the express uninstallation procedure.
  7. The active Babylon pops up and informs me that "To uninstall secondary applications click here…" when Babylon Uninstall gathers its required information.
  8. Then my Internet Explorer opens the following "We’re sorry see you go!" page (URL, http://www.babylon[dot]com/uninstall?redir_subdomain=true&lang=1&uid=186305631&ver=10001&dsi=1&dsu=-1&btp=2&cst=1&clk=0&trns=2&affilID=55555&trkInfo=[TType:200113_ctrl1_0413_7][Week:1303]&vid=1358817952-868969&guid={2F340E3E-B77C-4598-9D40-9775291C04D9}) while the default uninstall is completed. I close it then. If you’re having difficulties uninstalling the Babylon from programs list, use this Windows uninstaller program.
  9. To completely remove Babylon, I then launch Uninstall for Babylon toolbar (v1.8.7.2).
  10. Then I click OK on the following Babylon toolbar Uninstall, "Browsers restart is required to complete the uninstall process! Click Ok to uninstall and restart the open browsers now".
  11. Soon, I see the following "Babylon toolbar Uninstall: Completed" window. Then I hit Close on it. If that Babylon toolbar won’t uninstall properly from your system, install this professional uninstaller program to let this Babylon go away!
  12. Then I reload Programs and Features to double check the express un-install of Babylon toolbar.
  13. Then my Firefox opens and then visits the following "Babylon 9 Translation Software and Dictionary Tool" page, saying "The software was successfully removed. …".
  14. In order that I can fully delete Babylon, I need to manually remove Search the web (Babylon) from Firefox’s Manage Search Engines… .
  15. Open the following Options, then I launch Restore to Default option for Home Page; click OK then.
  16. Close all the open Firefox windows, re-open the Mozilla product to check out the steps above.
  17. You then may need to re-launch Remove option for the remaining Search the web (Babylon) in Manage Search Engine List to fully remove Babylon in your Firefox or Aurora.
  18. Now I start using steps like the ones above, to cleanly remove Babylon, I use the following Use new tab option for IE’s Home page section.
  19. Then I click Programs tab on Internet Options, click Manage add-ons button in Manage add-ons portion.
  20. To entirely remove Babylon 10, I then enter Search Providers, you first set Bing as default provider; then launch Remove option for Search the web (Babylon). If you cannot get rid of Babylon’s search from Internet Explorer, like the IE 10, keep and run the following automatic remover for Babylon’s search items that get remained in IE. 1. 2. Click Remove option in Babylon project to start uninstalling Babylon 9 – You need to wait, and then click OK option in Confirm Uninstall info box to automatically remove Babylon, "Are you sure you want to completely remove Babylon?".

3. You can also run the Uninstall app in the following Babylon file folder to automatically uninstall it. Or ya go to Babylon’s installation folder; then you find and run uninstbb.exe to automatically remove the annoying Babylon: you then select Uninstall option, saying "Please remove Babylon from my computer".

4. To continue with the express uninstall of Babylon 9, you then select the Uninstall option, "Please remove Babylon from my computer", when the following babylon window asks you "Are you sure you want to uninstall?". Then you need to wait seconds for it to complete its removal procedure. Need help? Run this uninstall tool to force remove Babylon in your system!

5. You then can direct close the following "Babylon 9 Translation Software and Dictionary Tool" page.

5. To fully remove Babylon (ver9) from your own Windows, you then need to remove the following “Babylon toolbar on IE” item (Size, 1.74MB).

Note: You need to click OK option in “Babylon toolbar Uninstall”, "Browsers restart is required to complete the uninstall process! Click OK to uninstall and restart the open browsers now".

6. You can click Details to learn more about its automatic removal. Click Close button on it. Shut down that "Babylon 9 Translation Software and Dictionary Tool" page to continue to remove Babylon’s bad traces.

How to Completely remove Babylon from Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox?

1. Logging on to my XP via the Admin account, then I save all my personal files, clean those temporary Internet files in your system; then I backup your Firefox Profile, and export your Bookmarks data, save it on your Non-system disk.

2. Now ya can refer to the methods below to remove Babylon from your own browsers.

Entry #1: For Windows Internet Explorer users, try out the following instructions…

  • Right click your Internet Explorer shortcut on Desktop, enter Properties
  • In the General tab, please press Use Blank tab to restore your Home page settings to completely remove Babylon (erase this URL, “http://search.babylon[dot]com/home?AF=55555″). Click Apply.
  • In the Temporary Internet files section, click Settings tab > click View Objects… tab in it > remove any temporary data in that Downloaded Program Files folder > click OK.
  • In the History section, you click Clear History option; then the Yes option in Internet Options, "Are you sure you want Windows to delete your history of visited Web sites?".
  • In the Programs tab, you click Manage Add-ons… tab button > If you have found out any of the following Babylon add-ons, you then DISABLE it/them to completely remove Babylon redirection error.   • Run your Firefox in its Safe Mode: click Restart option in Restart with Add-ons Disabled info box, telling "Are you sure you want to disable all add-ons and restart?" > select Disable all add-ons option, Reset toolbars and controls option, Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults option and the Restore default search engines option in Firefox Safe Mode > click Make Changes and Restart button.
