Go to Start, locate the My Document -> locate the "Battlefield 3" folder -> right click on it to select "Delete" -> empty the Windows Recycle Bin in the desktop.

Note: In case you need to backup the backup/patch file of the Battlefield 3 game, you can copy and paste the folder to somewhere else on your computer’s disk. If you want to restore them at a later time, just move the copy back to the original place in My Document folder.

Part3: Delete Battlefield 3 related registry keys

After you finished the backup you are good to go to delete the Battlefield 3 related registry keys:

  • Use the “+” or “>” sign to expand the registry key branch on the left panel.
  • Find out the folder named "Battlefield 3", right click on it to delete it.
  • Locate the folder of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts
  • Find out the folder named "Battlefield 3", again, right click on it to delete it.

Note: If you do not have other EA game in your computer, you can simply delete the "EA GAMES" and "Electronic Arts" folder under the directory of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE/

  • Locate the folder of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
  • Delete the folder named ESN Launcher in it (the name of this folder may ended up with a version number)
  • In the same directory, delete the ESN Sonar folder (the name of this folder may ended up with a version number).
  • Expend to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.
  • Right click to delete the folder of {76285C16-411A-488A-BCE3-C83CB933D8CF}
  • Close registry editor.
  • Restart the computer to allow new changes to take effect.

Part4: Remove the leftover files:

  • Double click to open My Computer.
  • Click on ToolFolder Options.
  • Click View tab, and select “Show hidden files and folders” in the advanced setting section and click OK.
  • Go to C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information.
  • Locate the folder named {76285C16-411A-488A-BCE3-C83CB933D8CF} and right click to delete it.
  • Empty Windows recycle bin again.
