After the video demo, you can read the following detailed steps, which will surely guide you through the complete uninstall of AIS 2013 on your computer.

1. To complete get the potentially unwanted AIS 2013 uninstalled, you may need to review its express install of it first.
• Item: Select type of installation
• Express Install (recommended): Installs the software in its standard configuration including the Gadget. Installs the AVG Security Toolbar to protect your computer from dangerous websites. Sets, keeps and protects AVG Secure Search as your default search provider.
• Custom Install: Choose which application features you want to install. Recommended choice for advanced users.

2. Save and close all your personal data as system administrator.
3. Click Start and then Settings if you’re running a Windows XP SP3 computer, or Control Panel directly. See the below picture.



4. In the below Control Panel window, you click Uninstall a program or Add or Remove Programs entry.



5. You first locate the following AVG 2013 (Note: Product version, 2013.0.2592), AIS 2013, from the Uninstall or change a program or Currently Installed Programs list. Then please launch the Uninstall option for it.



6. Please wait while the below AVG 2013 Uninstaller to initialize its (un)installation, telling “Welcome. We are now preparing your installation files. This may take a couple of minutes, thank you for your patience.”.



7. Please select the Uninstall option from the below Repair and Uninstall Options.



8. From the below AVG 2013 Uninstaller wizard, you can, of course, keep the AVG’s Toolbar, LinkScanner and its recommended search provider settings for your web browsers you installed. Or… you can remove them all by disabling the following highlighted options! Click the Next button on Uninstaller then.



9. Similarly, you might also add the following two options to the Uninstall AVG 2013 wizard. Click Next again.



10. For most users, you should keep the below “Activate Windows Firewall” option from AVG 2013 Uninstaller, informing “The Firewall will be inactivate after the installation process. Therefore we recommend activating the firewall intergrated into Windows. If you wish to activate the Windows Firewall, check the option Activate Windows Firewall.”. Click Next.



11. Please wait for the below Configuration progress, saying “Installation can take a few minutes. Feel free to do other things while you wait. Please be aware that the installation does close your browser tabs so we do not recommend working online during the install. Click the Minimize to taskbar button and we will notify you when completed.”.



12. When you read the following information, “AVG AVG Internet Security 2013 has been successfully removed from your computer.”, you then can select one of the below restart options. You then need to wait seconds for the Uninstaller to reboot your machine.





13. Then you can get the potentially unwanted component – Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 – of AIS 2013 uninstalled easily.





Tip Click Yes on the below UAC.

14. You then may need to remove the AVG Secure Search remained in Windows Internet Explorer to completely uninstall AVG Internet Security 2013.



15. Note: before the deletion, you may want to check the “view hidden files and folders” setting as some of the files and folders are hidden by default setting. Steps as below:

• Open My computer, go to the Tool > Folder Options
• Click the View tab, then select the check box of “Show hidden files, folders and drives“
• Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files.
• Click OK to finish.
