Before the removal, it is suggested to backup the save data if needed.

  • Go to StartDocuments
  • Select the folder of Electronic.

Delete the game files

  • Double click to open My Computer.

Delete The Sims 3 registry files

Before you start, backup your registry first to avoid unexpected trouble:

  1. Click Start menu, Type “regedit” into the search box and hit OK.
  2. Now you’ve open the Windows Registry Editor, click the FileExport.
  3. Select a location where you want this backup to be saved.
  4. Rename the backup file if you want.
  5. Click Save to finish the backup

Delete registry keys

  • You may have opened the registry editor in the registry backup part, now navigate the left side registry key branch by using the > sign.
  • Expend the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder > SOFTWARE > Electronic Arts > Sims.
  • Right click The Sims 3 folder and select Delete
  • Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE.
  • Right click on the folder named Sims, select Delete.
  • Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Microsoft folder > Windows > CurrentVersion > Uninstall
  • Delete the following folder if found:

  • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Classes folder.
  • Delete the following folders if found:
  • • .Sims 3
    • .Sims 3Pack
    • Sims 3
    • Sims 3 Pack

Delete the uninstall files

  1. Double click to open My computer.
  2. Go to the Drive where you installed The Sims 3
  3. Go to ToolsFolder OptionsView – select “Show hidden files and folders.”
  4. Locate the InstallShield Installation Information folder
  5. Delete any folders that contains the word “The Sims 3″, for example: {117B6BF6-82C3-420C-B284-9247C8568E53} (The Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff, SP03)

If you gone through the above manual steps successfully, The Sims 3 game should be removed from your computer now.
